Bethany Brevard is the President and Founder of Professional Outlook, Inc. (POI) and is a Senior Recruiter specializing in environmental, health, safety and human resources. Bethany has worked in the recruiting industry since 1989 and founded POI in 1991. Previously, she worked in the apparel manufacturing industry and retail sales management in California before relocating to the Chicago area, then finally Western Michigan to be closer to family.
Debbie Hunkins joined POI in 2005 and is currently our Manager for the Food Industry.
Prior to her promotion, she was a Sr. Technical Recruiter in our Engineering Division specializing in chemical, mechanical and electrical engineers for the Chemical Processing Industries, including Pharmaceutical and Petroleum Refining.
Debbie entered the recruiting industry in 1989, specializing in the environmental, health and safety areas and had her own recruiting company for over a decade prior to joining POI.
She received the Silver Recruiter Achievement Status from NPA in 2008, has solid experience handling positions from plant up through and including Corporate, Director and VP levels on a national and international basis and her absolute passion is “Finding that needle in a haystack” for her clients.

After earning a Bachelor's degree in Communications, John joined Professional Outlook, Inc. (POI) in 1993 as a Technical Recruiter specializing in Chemical Engineering. Since 1997, John has specialized in Environmental, Health and Safety(EHS) and was instrumental in adding Human Resources(HR) as an additional area of specialization for POI.
John has been successfully managing the EHS/HR division since 1998, and earned his CPC certification in 2006. In addition to providing excellent service for his clients and candidates in the manufacturing and processing industries, he finds time to spend with his family, to support the Girl Scouts, and occasionally enjoy an evening of bass fishing with his daughter.
Scott Harned joined POI in January of 1995, and is currently a Senior Recruiter/Manager specializing in Engineering, Technical and Management positions for the Chemical and Oil Industries.
Scott’s strongest attribute is his ability to understand and meet the needs of his clients and candidates while confidently connecting the two.
Scott helps Chemical and Oil Companies fill key positions with recruited candidates who would otherwise not be available to them.
Scott graduated from Northern Illinois University in 1995 with a Bachelors degree in Economics and minor in Communications.
Before joining POI in 1995, Scott worked for 8 years as a golf caddie, earning an Evans Scholarship from the Western Golf Association. In this role, Scott was responsible for guiding golfers of all levels to achieve their greatest potential on the golf course.
Scott has more than 15 years of recruiting experience in the Chemical and Oil Industry. He has ranked as high as #7 on the list of 1000 recruiters and helped Professional Outlook to achieve #1 out of more than 400 recruiting agencies in NPA, the Worldwide Recruiting Network.
Drawing on numerous years experience in consulting, recruitment and placement, Scott focuses mainly on engineering, management and inspection positions.

Colleen Doerr joined POI in 1998, and is currently a Senior EHS/HR recruiter. She specializes in finding top talent for her clients and career opportunities for her professional candidates.
Before joining POI Colleen worked 13 years for a large computer hardware and software manufacturer and service provider. There she focused on consulting in areas of contract administration and support for numerous clients while working closely with the sales organization in areas of quote generation, order processing, fulfillment and invoicing. While living in the DC Metro area, Colleen supported the company’s Mid-Atlantic regional customers and clients. After returning to the Midwest she began working with their smaller satellite offices in West Michigan and Northern Indiana.
With several years of experience in developing strategies to support both internal and external client needs, Colleen has honed her skills in communications and implementing action plans. Her ability to understand her clients' organizations and their needs positions her well for finding the right candidate for the right role.
Colleen combines her professional experience with formal education that includes general studies and international business courses at colleges in Maryland and Michigan, on-going professional development training, seminars and active participation at networking events, as well as, EHS and HR forums.

Shelley joined POI in 1998, and is currently a Senior Technical Recruiter specializing in the placement of Chemical, Mechanical & Electrical Engineers in the Chemical Process Industry.
Shelley’s strongest point is her ability to build relationships and trust with a strong network of Engineering Professionals to help client companies quickly fill their critical hiring needs.
Shelley is no stranger to recruiting, having spent 11 years as a Technical Recruiter in the chemical industry, which taught her the importance of understanding, determination, & dedication throughout the recruiting process. These attributes are essential in bringing the right candidate and company together.
Shelley’s background in the Real Estate Industry laid the foundation to be successful in the recruiting profession, such as discussing and understanding ones needs coupled with assisting individuals who are making life changing decisions in order to achieve their goals.

Kelly McCarthy joined POI in 1997 as a recruiter specializing in the placement of environmental, health, safety and human resources professionals. In 2002 she opened POI's satellite office in Oak Park, Illinois.
Jason Brevard joined POI in 2007, and is currently a Senior Engineering Recruiter specializing in Engineering for the Chemical Process Industry nationwide.
Jason’s strongest point is his ability to understand the client’s needs and identify candidates that will fit technically as well as thrive in their respective cultural environment.
Jason helps everyone from large integrated oil companies to niche specialty chemical plants pair with the top engineering talent that will make a positive impact on their organization.
Before joining POI in 2007, Jason worked for Huntington National Bank in a range of capacities from Consumer Lending/Deposit Accounts to Business Banking.
Drawing on several years experience in understanding customer’s needs and taking a consultative approach in discussing solutions to improve the customer’s experience, Jason now focuses mainly on establishing relationships with today’s top engineering talent and making it easy for clients to locate the professionals they seek that can improve their plants and refineries.

David Scrace joined POI in March of 2008, as a Recruiter specializing in Environmental, Health & Safety and Human Resources for all major manufacturing companies. His utmost professionalism and integrity are his strongest attribute.
David attended Grand Valley State University, where he studied Political Science; was a member of Alpha Sigma Phi and served one year on GVSU Student Senate. David grew up in the Detroit area and is a lifelong member of the Boy Scouts of America Eagle Scout Association.
Before joining POI, David worked in the Service Industry from 2003-2008, responsible for management, training, marketing and continuous customer satisfaction.
Drawing on experience in recruiting and service industry, David focuses on building and maintaining business relations with his clients and candidates by partnering with them to achieve their personal and professional goals.

Jackie joined POI in 2009 as the Research Assistant for the Food & Related Industries Division. A bright and energetic researcher, Jackie quickly developed excellent recruiting and account maintenance skills, and was promoted to Recruiter for the Food & Related Industries Division.
Jackie relates well with candidates and clients, allowing her to make effective employment matches. Settling for nothing less than confidentiality and professionalism, Jackie understands the importance of placing qualified candidates and meeting the personnel needs of her clients. Danielle DeSmit is a outgoing, results driven, energetic individual that thrives on helping others.
Danielle has always had an entrepreneurial spirit and loves to make a difference in whatever industry she is in. Danielle has 6 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, where she worked as an executive outside sales professional for Sanofi-Aventis. Susan Kendall, IPA/NPA Network Coordinator
Susan Kendall joined POI in 1998 as an Administrative Assistant. In 2006 Susan was promoted to Network Coordinator. Susan is responsible for all candidate and job order entry and searching for matches.
Shannon Zimmer Joined POI in 1998 as an Administrative Assistant providing an array of support to the engineering, human resources, and environmental, health and safety disciplines.
