Sr. Production Engineer – Utilities

Requirements:
*BS Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
*10+ Years of Chemical Plant or Refinery Experience
*ASPEN Plus
*3+ Years with Fired Boilers, Demineralization Units, Heat Transfer, and Daily Process Monitoring of Energy Parameters



Responsibilities for this position include:
-Optimize plant operations, improve plant performance and reduce operating costs
-Support the execution of the daily production plan
-Lead troubleshooting/process improvement teams
-Lead the effort to implement process optimization measures
-Identify EHSS Risks
-Participate on the Reliability Operations Team for the plant
-Lead incident investigations and RCA teams
-Complete project scopes and hand off to the capital team for estimating
-Lead the mentoring effort within your area of operation

The Sr. Utilities Production Engineer will be an integral member of the Production Team for the plant, reporting to the Production Manager. This is a senior level role and will get up to speed on and begin giving direction on the process quickly.

This company is the sole producer of chemical grade diisobutylene in North America and the second largest active merchant producer of high purity isobutylene in North America. Our products are sold to a wide range of performance, specialty and intermediate segments, including synthetic rubber, fuel additives, plastics and surfactants. Put simply, they make the products that go into making the world’s tires, carpets, gasoline additives and many other essential items used in our daily lives.
