Plant EHS Manager

Requirements:

BS in Safety, Environmental Science or related with 3 or more years of experience managing EHS programs at the plant level. Experience with; new plant (build), Greenfield site, construction safety and/or contractor oversight, is a plus. Broad knowledge of state, local and federal OSHA and EPA regulations, as well as, compliance program development, implementation and continuous improvement is required. Specific knowledge/experience with the following; air, waste and waste sampling, monitoring and reporting, permit program management, along with occupational safety expertise is needed for this role. Process Safety Management experience is a plus!


Responsibilities for this position include:

The EHS Manager will provide support to newly constructed processing plant. During construction this role will work closely with the Project Manager and Plant Manager on the front end of the process design and plant layout to ensure that safety and compliance are built in to the operations. The EHS Manager will also have ample opportunity to learn the process, equipment and corporate compliance programs at a well-established West Michigan plant/corporate headquarters location during construction.
